Our Story

Years in the making, TheFiveEleven was founded to address a gap in Catholic and other private schools in our local region.  In our personal experience, we discovered that families who desire to place their children in Catholic school did not have options if their child had exceptional needs.  Families we knew left the school to seek improved outcomes for their child(ren) due to lack of resources at the school to meet the child's learning needs.  Other families we knew tried to enroll their child, only to be turned away due to that same gap in resources.  Organizations around the nation are acknowledging the importance of including students with disabilities in private Christian schools.  Some provide resources and funding; some provide staff training and ongoing consultation.  What makes TheFiveEleven unique is that we provide a cohesive team of school-based professionals that seek to walk with teachers and students on the path toward inclusive education in our region's private schools.  We provide direct services to students and collaborate with teachers and families to ensure positive outcomes for students regardless of their learning barriers.  Schools who contract with TheFiveEleven essentially access a "one-stop shop" for a variety of educationally relevant therapies and resources.  More importantly, because our team works on-site at each school, we come to know the school community and can smoothly integrate our support services into each child's daily routine.  At our pilot school, our team has come to be viewed as a trusted part of the school faculty.  It is important to us that this resource is financially accessible to schools.  As such, we hope to continue to grow expand our services as a shared resource among Northern Colorado private schools.
